Image processing and loading appears to stabilize and is working normally now.

Errors looks to be reducing and our image service appears to be returning back to normal. We continue to monitor until services have been fully restored.

We confirm that an abnormally large number of images of mail are not loading up. This appears to be an issue related to a current intermittent outage with Amazon Web Services' DNS system. This is affecting our mail image processing system that serves the images.
We're actively monitoring AWS status and will post updates as it becomes available.
